Who We Are
LCHE is a Christian based homeschool co-op. We offer various activities, such as parent-led field trips, sports, and classes for homeschool families in the community. Providing a place to come together for fellowship, encouragement, and learning is our goal.
Our co-op is designed as a group of parents working together, sharing our strengths. The leadership team helps keep things running, but LCHE really is about the families who are the members. You tell us what is important to your family. What activities do you want to attend? What sport do you want to see offered? What classes would be helpful to your student? The parents are vital in helping make decisions on what is offered throughout each year. We also need parents who are willing to share their talents to fill the needs of each activity offered. Is there a field trip you would love to plan and head up? A sport you could help with as a coach, manager, or volunteer? A class you teach that would be of service to the students of LCHE (art, drama, history, math)? Do you love to host parties, Moms Night Out, or park meet-ups? Parents who offer their talents are the ones who make this group possible!
How it Works
To get started with our LCHE family, your annual $25 membership fee, membership form, and waiver form cover your participation in our activities all year long. We have an official sign up day in mid-August, but you can join any time of year (with the understanding that membership is good until mid-August). While the fee covers participation in the majority of activities, some activities—such as volleyball and certain classes—will have a cost to participate. We strive to keep field trip fees as low as possible and will clearly list any cost in the event details.
